Beer : Pub, waiting for a curry

I step into the pub. The ambience is warm, cosy and alive. Three small dogs followed by a toddler tear around at my ankles. Young bar staff with colourful hair and elaborate eyebrows herd the dogs and children with beaming smiles. I order an imported Welsh bitter.
A character in a cape comes in. Buys a jug and proceeds to drink it from a replica medieval goblet. A bearded chap in a checked shirt and a woman with purple hair join them. Discussion turns to something called ‘Dungeons and Drag Queens’.
A Welshman discusses how his daughter came to be named after an instrument from antiquity. She proceeds to tear around the pub with wild abandon. Chips and curry sauce head out to tables. A desi couple taste through the beers on tap before settling on handpulled porter. I take my empty pint back to the bar and say thanks . “No worries love” comes the response.

 It’s wonderful . I love pubs.
